Camila Osorio vs. Coco Gauff in Beijing 2026: time and how to watch

Camila Osorio defeated Lanlana Tararudee 6-3, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Beijing WTA 1000. Her next opponent is Coco Gauff, the No. 3 seed, in a match scheduled for Friday night in Colombia and Peru.

It will be the first professional meeting between the Colombian and the American. They will play on hard court at Beijing’s National Tennis Center.

Osorio completed her opener in straight sets

Tararudee broke first in both sets, but Osorio responded each time. The Colombian earned the decisive break for a 5-3 lead in the opening set and then served it out.

Osorio trailed 2-3 in the second set before winning four straight games. The official WTA scoreboard recorded a match time of one hour and 25 minutes.

A first meeting with Coco Gauff

Gauff received a first-round bye as one of the seeded players. The American is No. 4 in the WTA rankings and won the Beijing title in 2024. Osorio is ranked No. 66.

The two have not met on the professional tour. Their first matchup will decide who moves into the third round in Beijing.

What is at stake in the second round

Osorio arrived in Beijing after nearly a month away from competition and earned her third straight opening-round win at this tournament. She also cleared the first round in 2024 and 2025. Against Tararudee, she stayed composed through the long games and recovered after falling behind in both sets.

Gauff, the 2024 Beijing champion, is the third seed in this year’s draw. Osorio now has a chance to return to the third round, matching the stage she reached last season.

Play on a hard court from your living room

Beijing’s fast surface gives players less time to prepare each shot. In TennisHero, you can select a hard court and turn your phone into the racket: swing it in your hand and play on your laptop or TV screen.

Three ways to warm up before Osorio vs. Gauff:

1. Practice your return. Adjust your swing timing to send the ball crosscourt or down the line.
2. Raise the difficulty. The CPU has three levels to put your reactions under more pressure.
3. Challenge a friend. Share an invitation link and play an online one-on-one match.
